    Junior e-Motocross series returns for 2025 and today, registrations have officially opened for youngsters who race a KTM SX-E 5 to secure one of the highly sought after 40 spots on the start line. With great success, since its inception in 2021, the five-round competition caters for young motocross riders aged between six and eight years-old, giving them the chance to race world championship level circuits, at selected events on the FIM Motocross World Championship calendar.

Every year, the series attracts an exciting international line-up, making the Junior e-Motocross Series a huge success. Entries for the 2025 edition are now open and all 40 spots on the start gate are expected to fill quickly. The only requirements each competitor needs to be in with a chance of securing a place are to commit to at least three events on the series calendar and be aged 68-years-old with their age taken on January 1, 2025.

This year, the MXGP of France in Ernee will host the season opener, followed by a trip to Germany and Great Britain, before concluding at the MXGP of Czech Republic in an exciting double header event at the old-school Loket track.

Utilising a two-day format just like the FIM Motocross World Championship, riders on KTM SX-E 5 machinery will begin each event weekend with a timed practice session to decide the gate pick for the two races. Then when both motos are complete, the points are tallied up, with the top three riders climbing onto the MXGP podium to celebrate their achievements.

Every young competitor entered on the KTM SX-E 5 will receive a cool selection of KTM PowerWear range. With every item designed with the same winning intent as the KTM motocross models, the pit wear and accessories will ensure young riders dress with a professional appearance when theyre not on track.

The foundational step has been refined, and the new 2025 KTM SX-E mini cross motorcycles set a benchmark in the industry for their commitment to quality.The KTM SX-E 5 and KTM SX-E 3 might enable hours of fun, learning and stimulate the early flow of adrenaline but these bikes are most definitely not toys: they are the start of a new era for the next generation of riders and racers.

Here are six ways in which KTM is plugging-in to play with the 2025 KTM SX-E line-up.

Drivetrain development

For 2025, the KTM SX-E 5 has a super-advanced fully electric, water-cooled permanent magnet motor that providespeak power at 5.0 kW and 30% more riding time compared to the previous version. The unit is both dust and waterproof which makes it low wearing and maintenance-free, while the integrated control unit (ECU) guarantees a direct but easily controllable power delivery: acceleration thatguarantees exhilaration for youngsters, while packing enough punch to satisfy the demands of racing. In short, a high-quality and real-world READY TO RACE alternative to the petrol-powered 50 cc engine. The KTM SX-E 3 has an air-cooled motor pumping out a manageable 3.8 kW rate, ideal for smaller riders looking to finish their first laps. On both bikes, a multifunctional instrument display shows the state and charge level of the battery, along with one of the six different ride maps that determine the potency of thepower delivery.

Frame finesse and go as you grow

One of the best features of the KTM SX-E is its adjustability. The subframe is made of lightweight, fibreglass reinforced plastic elements, which can be mounted in different positions to suit the changing size of the rider. The variance window is 634-682 mm and is easily adjusted throughchanging position of the seat and bodywork. For the very little rippers, an even lower seat height can be achieved by dropping the forks down through the triple clamps and by changing the mounting position of the rear shock. The frame is forged from lightweight, high-strength chromium-molybdenum steel for precise agility and stability, developed for 2025to provide more robustness, improved handling and a tougher rear shock mounting point.

WP Suspension for that factory feeling

Pedigree carried by the adult KTM SX range is passed down, meaning the suspensionset upon the KTM SX-E 5 is formidable. A fully adjustable, upside-down 35 mm WP XACT air fork with 205 mm of travel ensures comfort and confidence. The air spring fitted in the left fork leg can be adjusted perfectly to the rider&#039;s weight using a simple air pump. The WP XACT shock absorber offers preload, rebound and high and low speed compression adjustability, providing excellent damping performance with 193 mm of travel. The KTM SX-E 3 is equipped with a class-leading suspension specification while keeping things simple through its non-adjustable upside-down 35 mm WP XACT fork, offering 144 mm of travel. The shock will offer 129 mm of rebuttal.

Battery bounty

The battery on the KTM SX-E 5 is constructed from 84 modern lithium-ion cells in a robust die-cast aluminum casing, harnessing energy for 907 Wh, which is enough for two hours of a relaxed rhythm riding or 30 minutes of hardcore throttle abuse for race conditions. The KTM SX-E 3 has 60 cells for 648 Wh, for a similar rate of riding time. A new cable component means the KTM SX-E 3 can swap and upgrade the battery from its bigger brother, leading to even more time in the saddle. Each bike has an advanced battery management system that administers and preserves the lifecycle of the battery.

Counting the charge

Charging time has been reduced on the KTM SX-E 5, with 0-80% capacity achievable in just 45 minutes, while 0-100% is possible in just 70 minutes. The external charger - supplying up to 900 W - can be connected to any 110- or 230-volt socket. The KTM SX-E 3 will charge from 0-20% in 20 minutes, 20-80% in 100 minutes and to 100% in 140 minutes. Both bikes feature a rollover sensor that cuts power in the event of a fall, while a wrist lanyard cut-off key stops the motor in the event of an uncontrollable riding scenario. Ride modes can be locked and saved with a dongle that can be found under the seat.

The perks of the parts

Outright performance is not the only benefit of the 2025 KTM SX-Es. Each motorcycle comes as standard with a host of outstanding parts to make them deserving of their placein the all-conquering KTM SX range. Strong aluminum alloy NEKEN handlebars taper from 28 mm in the centre to 22 mm in the bend and 18 mm in the handhold areas, enabling the use of a thinner lock-on ODI grip, engineered especially for electric drive. Also, on the theme of strength, the two bikes have light, black anodised aluminum rims (10 for the KTM SX-E 3 and 12 for the KTM SX-E 5) with MAXXIS MAXXCROSS-ST tyres for superb all-round traction across diverse terrain. The wheels are common components among the full-size KTM SX range, as is the hydraulic brake calipers and wavy discs front and rear. The KTM SX-E 3 has a handlebar-mounted rear brake, while the KTM SX-E 5 is foot operated. The design of both KTM SX-E models features the latest in-mould graphics, with a bold orange livery that perfectly sets off the factory-look orange frame, orange seat and narrow race-sharpened bodywork.

    <title>KTM TAKES ITS ON-BIKE HMI EXPERIENCE TO ANOTHER LEVEL WITH NEW TFT DISPLAYS</title>

        KTM has rolled out an all-new era of electronic architecture, highlighted by touchscreen dashboards V80 (vertical 8-inch) and H88 (horizontal 8.8 inch), new handlebar switchgear, and a new connectivity unit, taking its HMI to an entirely new level of usability.

KTM is dedicated to providing customers with the ultimate riding experience, featuring top-notch elements that enhance every aspect of motorcycling enjoyment. To achieve this, KTM has looked at the HMI (Human-Machine Interface) to create a more immersive, intuitive riding experience while minimising distractions.

The 1280 x 720 resolution TFT dashboard now features newly developed inductive touchscreen functionality, with bonded screen technology boasting Anti-Reflex, Anti-Fingerprint and Anti-Glare screen coatings. This makes the user interface more visible from all angles, while a massive 256,000 colours  compared to the previous 65,000  maintain perfect detail in all lighting conditions.

The inductive touch screen itself enables seamless and easy access to information, regardless of the weather or riding gear. This makes the touchscreen receptive to inputs with or without riding gloves. Touchscreen shortcut buttons on the main screen also eliminate the need for auxiliary switches, thanks to the virtual buttons that allow access to functions such as turning on heated grips, rider heated seat and fog lights, depending on the model.

The screen also allows for more customisation options, with configurable split-screen functionality with five available layout options. This is supported by pre-set screen options, allowing riders to choose between adaptive cruise control functions, map navigation, telemetry, favourites, or music as their core home screen  along with a reduced, bare-basics-only view.

Furthermore, the switchgear has also been completely revised and optimised. It now features a dedicated Ride Mode button, a new five-way joystick and back button, new cruise control buttons, new A/M (automatic/manual) button for AMT models, light and ignition switch, and new paddle buttons that are customisable for models that are not fitted with AMT. The new buttons are also backlit and with graphics placed in optimal and logical positions to make it easy to find while riding in any conditions.

Offline Map Navigation is now integrated into the motorcycle connectivity unit, providing real-time navigation without syncing or tethering to a mobile phone. This allows for active route guidance and route planning, along with A-B routes, pre-programmed Points of Interest, and more.

Staying connected to the world outside of your helmet is also made even easier, thanks to an upgraded CCU3.0 (Connectivity Control Unit) connectivity unit with 32 GB of storage and 3 GB of RAM, which ultimately runs the Android Automotive operating system. This allows for IoT connectivity with eSim, a GPS Antenna, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

The CCU3.0 ensures seamless reconnection with your smartphone on every ignition cycle, allowing riders to pick up where they left off in their music app on the split screen  now with album covers  and access their complete contacts list from the phone.

With this new approach it will be much easier to update functions and features throughout the life of the motorcycle in a way that we know from many other products such as phones and personal electronic devices. Initially, all updates will be done through Authorised KTM dealers, with over-the-air functionality - direct to the motorcycle - available in the future.

Using the recently updated 2025 KTM 450 SX-F as its base, the 2025 KTM 450 SMR raises the bar even higher, with key enhancements to the frame, fork, and ergonomics.

With its championship-winning 63 Ps 450 cc SOHC powerplant already a highlight, the 2025 KTM 450 SMR benefits from a slew of updates as found on the newly updated 2025 KTM SX-F range. The biggest and most significant of these can be found on the frame, with visible cutouts and tube-wall thickness changes around the front end, with the engine and rear shock mountings also undergoing the knife.

Besides a 300 g weight-saving, these structural changes have been engineered to improve chassis flex characteristics and cornering behavior while maintaining overall stability. On the latter point, smaller footrests for 2025 maximize lean angles and reduce the risk of hooking up on curbs.

The 2025 KTM 450 SMR also receives an adjustable 48 mm WP XACT Closed Cartridge fork for the first time. This features a new mid-valve piston concept that optimizes oil flow within the cartridge and avoids unwanted oil foaming, maintaining damping characteristics. A new hydro stop in the last part of the stroke helps to keep a maximum of reserves in extreme scenarios, like bigger jumps or hard landings.

At the rear, a WP XACT rear shock benefits from an updated linkage with renewed seals and smaller diameter linkage bolts. The setup is taken directly from the KTM Factory Racing Team and has been thoroughly tested on both dirt and tarmac.

Ergonomically, the 2025 KTM 450 SMR benefits from new tank shrouds with bi-composite plastics on the upper and lower flanks. This not only provides a distinctive new look but also aids in cooling by channeling air more effectively.

With regard to air intake, an updated 1-piece inlet sleeve and snorkel design feature prevents any deformation, thanks to a more robust and stiffer construction, while an updated fuel tank roll protects the frame against wear and improves tank fitment.

Above the surface, full-orange bodywork, featuring red and black in-mold graphics, and a more durable black seat bring a cleaner look while communicating the 2025 KTM 450 SMRs pure READY TO RACE intentions.

As with previous generations, the 2025 KTM 450 SMR is fitted with race-ready Metzeler Racetec SM K1 Supermoto tires wrapped around lightweight 16.5 front and 17 rear ALPINA rims.

The 2025 KTM 450 SMR has been rigorously tested to ensure it can perform under the most extreme conditions. Supermoto World Championship rider, Lukas Hllbacher, put the machine through its paces in a variety of challenging environments, from scorching 40-degree heat on Spanish asphalt to sub-zero temperatures on ice in Sweden. These grueling test simulations ensure that the 2025 KTM 450 SMR can deliver top performance regardless of the conditions.

With its sights set on maintaining the top spot in the Supermoto category, the 2025 KTM 450 SMR is ready to lift its front wheel in a salute to itself.

The 2025 KTM 85 SX is developed to be as close to a scaled-down version of a full-size KTM Motocross machine as possible, with international testing in Europe, North America, and Australia. This has resulted in an 85 cc screamer that not only looks like it&#039;s bigger brothers but behaves like them, sharing the same high levels of quality and attention to detail.

For 2025, the KTM 85 SX has been updated significantly to enhance handling characteristics, boost rider confidence, and improve engine performance in the low to mid-rpm range.

A completely new frame, subframe, and swingarm provide the basis for the update over the previous generation. Based on the full-sized KTM SX frame concept, the high-strength chromium molybdenum steel frame integrates carefully calculated longitudinal flex and torsional rigidity parameters for unmatched rider feedback, energy absorption, and straight-line stability. This is mated to a 1-piece polyamide glass fiber reinforced aluminum subframe, reducing overall weight and providing a platform to integrate the electronics. Manufactured using a gravity die-cast process, the one-piece aluminum swingarm offers exceptional strength with minimal weight. The topology has been optimized for maximum rigidity, and an improved casting process reduces the weight by 300 grams. Additionally, a 20 mm rear axle has been fitted to optimize and match the chassis flex characteristics.

The new frame also allowed for a new riding experience with a steering head at 63.5 half a degree flatter than the previous generationand moved rearwards by 6 mm. This has aided in cornering stability and a more planted feel in high-speed acceleration, further supported by a wider steering angle of 35, which has improved the steering angle by 2 over its predecessor.

The engine position has also been tweaked, with a 3 rotation upwards to maintain a more direct connection point with the swingarm. This has allowed for the most effective weight distribution when hitting jumps.

Regarding suspension updates, the 2025 KTM 85 SX benefits from an all-new, fully-adjustable WP XACT monoshock mirroring the latest technology found in the full-size motocross range. Linked directly to the swingarm in a PDS format, the WP XACT monoshock has a different mounting point to the previous generation, allowing for a more compact rear shock design with a shorter stroke. This provides improved rider feedback and stability over larger jumps and rough tracks.

A notable update over the previous generation is a lower suspension travel of 289 mm compared to 305 mm on the previous model. This has aided dramatically in controlling rebound and compression in the rear shock, with a more planted feel, better traction, and overall handling.

Up front, the 2025 KTM 85 SX maintains the championship-proven and lightweight 43 mm WP XACT USD AER fork. Compared to the previous generation, the air pressure is tuned to 4.8 bar from the previous 5.0 bar for a smoother ride and suspension compliance.

An updated engine has improved power in the low and mid-rpm range and increased torque for performance. This is made possible by a new cylinder head and spark plug, ignition, exhaust, shift drum, and updated carburetor settings.

Changes on the new generation KTM 85 SX have also extended to the overall looks, with all-new slimmer bodywork mimicking that of the full-sized KTM SX range. This new look is also functional, allowing for better contact with young riders boots when standing up. New footpegs, a larger radiator, and improved triple clamps round out the changes.

The 2025 KTM 85 SX is another example of KTMs dedication to mini-cross, with the same amount of energy and attention going to the development of grassroots racing as it imparts at a Supercross level.



The new 2025 KTM 85 SX will be rolling off the Austria production line in July and will be available at Judd Racing from August.

The Product(s)

The street homologated KTM 990 RC R boasts a 57 kg EURO5+ ready LC8c, honed for rasping torque (103 Nm at 10,500 rpm) and 128 PS, pumped out through the new ergo-crafted and condensed stainless steel muffler, and fettled through a shifter that can be reversed to race-shift as standard.

The steel frame has been engineered for dynamic performance, with increased weight bias towards the front end. It features a dedicated steering head angle of 25 degrees and offset for enhanced steering responsiveness. Beefed-up stiffness gives the right feel and stability under acceleration on bumpy roads or on racetracks, while also maintaining agility - especially at low speeds. A diecast aluminium subframe contributes to the ride.

Ergonomics are key to the KTM 990 RC Rs behaviour. Lengthy experimentation primed the six contact points on the tank for a better connection, leaning and tucking in to ensure comfort but also support for knees, arms and lower pressure on the hands. A new fuel tank has been shaped as a main component of the ergo. Engineered to provide riders with more control than ever before, the 2025 KTM SX and SX-F range brings a series of updates adopted directly from KTM&#039;s Factory Racing efforts, making this the most READY TO RACE line-up yet.

The frame has received the most significant update share, with visible cutouts and tube-wall thickness changes around the front, engine mounts and rear shock mounting areas. These changes have been specifically engineered to improve chassis flex characteristics and reduce weight by around 300 g while maintaining overall stability and improving cornering behaviour. An updated swingarm with a machined chain glider and an updated rear brake pedal for improved durability round off updates to the frame.

New Dunlop GEOMAX MX34 Motocross tyres are standard on the 2025 KTM SX and SX-F models, providing stability and control at the highest level to perform at their best. These feature a new carcass compound that improves damping and absorption, adding up to 30% longer performance. New Progressive Cornering Block Technology improves traction, grip and mud dissipation.

At the rear, the WP XACT rear shock benefits from an updated linkage with renewed seals and smaller diameter linkage bolts. The setup is taken directly from the KTM Factory Racing Team and is optimised to benefit weight savings and stiffness parameters. To complement the updates at the rear, the WP XACT AER fork features reworked settings to account for more flex and less weight.

Ergonomically, the 2025 KTM SX and SX-F range features new tank shrouds with bi-composite plastics on the upper and lower flanks, providing a fresh, sharp and distinctive new look and improved cooling. This is supported by an updated fuel tank roll that protects the frame against wear from scrubbing and improves tank fitment. Lastly, an updated air inlet sleeve and snorkel design features on the 2025 models. This is now a one-piece part, preventing deformation through a more robust and stiffer material design.

The IRON ROAD PROLOGUE might not be the main event at the ERZBERGRODEO but it certainly doesn&#039;t disappoint, drawing massive crowds year after year. It is a 13.5 km rollercoaster ride complete with tight hairpin turns, climbing to 1,466 m above sea level. Even the most hardened ERZBERG riders will tell you  it&#039;s no easy ride.

Xavier, who is no stranger to hitting the limiter in top gear offroad, after coming in first overall at the TRANSANATOLIA RALLY on a KTM 690 ENDURO R, will be stepping up in the twin-cylinder category from 8th - 11th June 2023 at the IRON ROAD PROLOGUE.

Im excited to take on this challenge. The KTM 890 ADVENTURE R is pretty much straight off the dealership floor, with the addition of some suspension upgrades and protective parts. Both the KTM 890 ADVENTURE R and I are up to the task. We will have to focus on our lines, hold on and keep it wide open.

In terms of the machine itself, the 2023 KTM 890 ADVENTURE R engine is completely stock, the only modifications to being KTM PowerParts and WP PRO COMPONENTS - the XPLOR PRO 7548 front fork and the XPLOR PRO 6746 rear shock. The IRON ROAD rules are simple; Riders start in 20-second intervals, with each competitor having two timed runs up the mountain, with the top 500 fastest riders qualifying for the RED BULL ERZBERGRODEO on Sunday.

While Xavier wont be competing in the main event, he will need to summon up all his courage and racing skills to keep razor-sharp focus to dominate the rest of the field and take his place on the top step of the podium, with a potential record-breaking time.

This will be a great test bed for the KTM 890 ADVENTURE R and good preparations for some of our upcoming challenges and events later this year. Its not going to be easy, says Xavier. But we are also going to try to have as much fun as we can. In the end, it&#039;s still a race and we must try our best to get to the top in the fastest time, but first, we have fun with it. I will have a better idea of how much I can push the KTM 890 ADVENTURE R after the first run and see how much grip were working with on the mountain. Its going to be a blast and I cannot wait!&quot;

Upfront, the KTM EXC and EXC-F range now boast an all-new 48 mm WP XACT Closed Cartridge spring fork, featuring a new mid-valve piston concept that optimises oil flow within the cartridge.

The KTM Enduro models continue to feature the proven PDS shock system, updated for 2024 in the form of a new WP XPLOR PDS rear shock, optimised to work fluidly with the new frame concept.

As an industry first, the suspension at both ends remains fully adjustable for compression and damping by way of hand clickers, without the need for any tools, allowing easy preload adjustability on the rear.

An all-new lightweight 2-piece subframe constructed from a combination of polyamide and reinforced aluminum delivers outstanding handling and rider feedback, as well as remarkable robustness. All electronic components, including an all-new Offroad Control Unit, are fully integrated into the subframe for easy access and improved protection.

More notably, the 2024 KTM EXC range benefits from new bodywork all around. This has been developed with input from the Red Bull KTM Factory Riders to deliver an improved rider triangle for better knee contact, especially when standing on the pegs.

A new front fender design now also features mud-repelling fins for expelling dirt and mud from hitting the rider or radiators, while a new 8.3 litre  4-stroke  and 8.9 liter  2-stroke  transparent, polythene (XPE) fuel tanks provide easy fuel level monitoring and complete the bodywork package.

Monitoring the electronics comes courtesy of a totally independent OCU under the seat, which replaces the use of electronic fuses and relays. In the event of any electrical component failure, the outputs are deactivated individually, with the error status of each unit indicated by a red or green LED light. This makes for quick and easy troubleshooting while out on the trail.

In terms of engines, the 2-stroke model range once again takes its place as the leader of the oil-burner paddock, debuting new electronic Throttle Body Injection technology, or TBI for short. It provides levels of ultra-smooth power deivery, reminiscent of carburettor performance, while eliminating the need for re-jetting at different altitudes.

The reed valve case has also received an important design update, with new plastic flaps on the outside of the reed valve case for improved sealing of the intake tract. This new design avoids fuel excess in extreme up or downhill sections, which could lead to the fuelling running rich.

A beneficial side effect of the new electronic fuel injection and the ECU is implementing the new electronic exhaust control, allowing for two different engine maps, selectable via an optional Map Select switch.

The 2024 KTM EXC 2-stroke range will once again consist of the following model line-up:

The 4-stroke model range provides the most concise offering of models. All models in the 4-stroke range benefit from class-winning engines, engineered to deliver massive torque down low with an explosive power delivery at higher RPMs.

An improved centre of gravity was achieved by tilting the engine 2 backward and repositioning the front sprocket 3 mm lower, for greatly improved handling and maneuverability. Together with the benefits of mass centralisation and reduced weight, the anti-squat behavior of the chassis was significantly improved, making for improved traction on extreme inclines and powering out of corners in special enduro stages.

The 2024 KTM EXC-F also debuts the optional addition of Traction Control and for the first time ever on an enduro machine  a Quickshifter function. The latter makes for clutchless upshifts from 2nd to 6th gear, allowing riders to keep the throttle pinned open while changing through the gears for improved control. These features can be switched on or off via an optional and newly designed Map Select Switch.
