For 2025, we're super excited about the return of our EC 125! We've brought it back so that youngsters and beginners can get their feet wet (and muddy!) in the world of enduro. We've cut no corners in assembling what may well be the best 125cc enduro bike out there. Using our awesome MC 125 as its foundation, which everyone knows is an absolute little ripper of a dirt bike, the EC 125 is fully loaded with enduro-specific components so that riders can experience the thrill of making a small-bore 2-stroke sing! Simple to set up, ride, and maintain, the EC 125 makes a welcome return and is guaranteed to put a smile on the face of anyone who chooses to swing a leg over it.
The EC 125 is a competition only model without street legal homologation.
GRAPHICS
All-new graphics spice things up for 2025! Still red, still durable, and still eye-catching, the distinctive design is applied using IML technology. This means they're applied within the bodywork so your GASGAS will stay looking super fresh for a long, long time, even if you ride in gnarly conditions week after week.
BODYWORK
All red, front to back! Just the way a GASGAS should be. Incredibly ergonomic with large contact surfaces to help you grip the bike with your legs, the smooth profile bodywork encourages riders to move around and ride with a perfect technique. There's also a super grippy seat cover to keep you locked in place, which works just as well when the rain starts falling and the going gets gnarly!
HANDLEBARS
Get on the gas and hold on tight! Not too tight though as nobody likes arm pump... But to make sure the riding is comfortable, NEKEN handlebars are clamped into redesigned bar mounts (they're more resistant to twisting if you should hit the deck), with lock-on style, medium compound ODI grips fitted to create a comfy set-up to suit all riders. There's also a new, stronger throttle housing that's more impact resistant for improved durability.
AIRBOX
Less time working on bikes means more time riding bikes, which is precisely why you'll love the straightforward, no tools and no nonsense filter mounting system. Allowing quick and easy filter changes, the airbox is designed with precisely positioned inlet ducts to direct the flow of air towards the Twin Air filter, which helps create maximum horsepower.
FUEL TANK
Super slim and made from transparent polythene, the fuel tank lets you see how much fuel is inside while a threaded filler cap provides a secure and reliable seal. Beneath the fuel tank is a stronger support made from rubber that not only helps hold the tank firmly in place but protects the frame from wear as well. With an integrated fuel pump allowing the tank to be emptied further before refueling, extended rides are not a problem for this GASGAS!
FRAME
Do you want an enduro bike that offers playful handling, razor-sharp cornering, and confidence-inspiring straight-line stability? Who doesn't, right? Well, fortunately, for everyone who throws a leg over a GASGAS enduro bike, this is exactly what you'll expect thanks to some seriously clever work by the engineers who designed the frame. This bike really does handle like a dream, which reduces fatigue and, in turn, extends the fun! You're gonna love it. Grippy frame guards just above the footpegs provide a little extra grip for your boots for maximum control, even when the conditions get gnarly!
SUBFRAME
The all-aluminium subframe is light, strong, and works as one with the new frame by helping to centralize mass and contributing massively to the bike's outstanding handling characteristics.
TRIPLE CLAMPS
Forged aluminum triple clamps offer just the right amount of calculated flex thanks to a more forgiving steering stem. The triple clamps align the fork tubes perfectly for a smooth action, which improves front wheel feedback and leads to predictable handling on any track and any terrain. The adjustable bar mounts with the slightly larger contact area against the handlebars reduce the chance of the bars twisting. A glass bead blasted finish means the triple clamps always look as good as new.
WP FORKS
Up front, WP XPLOR Open Cartridge forks take care of soaking up the bumps with ease. Speaking of things being easy, adjusting the forks' set-up to suit your speed, weight, and style couldn't be any simpler. On top of the left fork leg you can dial in the compression while over on the right fork leg you can fine tune the rebound, with both settings adjustable by hand. So, so, easy!
WP SHOCK
The WP XACT rear shock is designed specifically for enduro riding and delivers some seriously impressive performance. To make sure every rider can create a personalized set-up, the shock can be adjusted by hand in various ways. High and low speed compression, as well as rebound can all be fine-tuned quickly and easily for maximum comfort and traction.
SWINGARM
Cast from one piece of aluminum, the swingarm on this GASGAS certainly looks the business! A new, stronger chain slider improves durability and keeps the chain running smoother for longer. At the rear of the swingarm you'll find a chain guide with a rounded profile to help it glide over the ground as you lay the bike over through deeply rutted turns. Finally, clear chain adjustment markings ensure quick and easy maintenance.
ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION (EFI)
Throttle Body Injection (TBI) makes the EC 125 an absolute dream to ride! Why? Let us fill you in... The ECU continuously analyzes the air and water temperature, crankcase pressure, RPM, and the position of the throttle. What this means is that the perfect mix of air and fuel is delivered into the motor at all times, so it runs clean and offers maximum power when you get on the gas. Thanks to the TBI, the EC 125 features two different motor maps. Map 1 is designed for technical terrain and hardpack surfaces while Map 2 is better suited to deep and sandy tracks. Either one can be activated by a simple press of the handlebar-mounted switch. Nice.
CYLINDER & PISTON
One thing you won't find on the EC 125 is an old school powervalve! As the bike's fuelled using Throttle Body Injection (TBI), an innovative electronic exhaust control system is used instead. For maximum power, especially when you need it most, both the lateral exhaust port and main exhaust port open at the same time. The finishing touch to the 54mm cylinder is the machined finish on the upper contour of the exhaust port that helps deliver high-revving performance.
TRANSMISSION
A wide ratio, 6-speed, enduro-specific transmission lets you attack the terrain and every obstacle with confidence. It's also smooth shifting and super durable, with every gear change positive in all conditions, thanks in part to the gear lever that's designed to prevent mud from building up around it.
CRANKSHAFT
Perfectly balanced to minimize vibration and low in weight to create a free-revving motor, the crankshaft is also positioned to have a positive effect on the bike's overall handling. As crankshafts go, our engineers have certainly designed a good one!
CRANKCASE
Low in weight and super-strong, the crankcases have a thin-wall design that was made possible by using a high-pressure, die-cast production process. Within the crankcases, all moving parts are positioned to centralize mass, which plays a big role in making this bike a blast to ride!
COUNTER BALANCER SHAFT
In order to counteract the rotational force of the crankshaft and reduce vibration, the EC 250F motor uses a multifunctional counter balancer shaft that also drives the water pump and timing chain.
EXHAUST SYSTEM
Delivering enduro specific power as well as being competition-compliant, all our exhausts are designed and built to meet FIM sound regulations! Our 2-stroke header pipes are super strong and offer optimal geometry, performance, and ground clearance, making them less susceptible to damage. The 2-stroke mufflers also feature an advanced internal construction for excellent noise damping and weight saving.
BRAKES
Fast is fun but quite often in enduro, you'll need to slow down in a real hurry! This is precisely why all GASGAS enduro bikes are fitted with the latest high quality BRAKTEC brake calipers and controls. With a 260mm disk up front and a 220mm disk at the rear, braking performance is seriously impressive, which inspires riders to push harder, ride faster, and brake later.
HYDRAULIC CLUTCH
When riding enduro, you know full well that you'll need consistent clutch performance, especially when working your way through the toughest of technical sections. So, it's for this very reason that all GASGAS enduro bikes are fitted with a quality BRAKTEC hydraulic clutch system. In addition to the lever being extremely light to pull in, which reduces fatigue, the free play of the system is also self-adjusting. This means the biting point from the moment you fire your GASGAS into life remains the same all day. Every day.
RADIATORS
A cool running motor is a well performing motor, which is why all GASGAS enduro bikes feature a cooling system designed for maximum efficiency. It also eliminates the need for additional hoses while the slim design of the radiators ensures a narrower bike with class-leading ergonomics. Expertly crafted using high strength aluminum, the radiators are mounted close to the center of gravity for the best possible handling.
WHEELS
Built to take a beating, our wheels are ready to play rough. No matter how heavy the landing or how rough the track is, the silver, CNC machined hubs, lightweight spokes, and high-strength EXCEL rims deliver maximum strength and durability for complete peace of mind.
TIRES
One of the only components carried over from the outgoing generation of GASGAS enduro bikes are the Maxxis MaxxEnduro tires. Need to know why? Because they work so well on a wide variety of terrain and they're super-durable too. After all, who likes changing tires?
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS)
Small, light, and fast at processing data! The Engine Management System (EMS) is constantly measuring, calculating, and optimizing how the motor is running and adjusts accordingly, which means you can just focus on the trail ahead. After all, that's what enduro is all about, right? The EMS also allows for the bike to have two engine maps, Traction Control, and a Quickshifter. All of which can be engaged, or disengaged, from the handlebar-mounted Map Select Switch. Plus, as crashes are part and parcel of riding offroad, there's a new rollover sensor that stops the motor if the bike goes upside down, which in enduro can, and often does, happen!
LED LIGHT
By using LEDs to light the way, the headlight is almost three times brighter than a traditional bulb and is particularly effective when you're deep into dense woodland. And should either the mask or headlight get damaged, the two-piece design lets you replace only what's broken.
MAP SELECT SWITCH
On the EC 125 the Map Select Switch is standard and thanks to the TBI, the EC 125 features two different motor maps. Map 1 is designed for technical terrain and hardpack surfaces while Map 2 is better suited to deep and sandy tracks.
THROTTLE BODY
For 2025, our 2-stroke motors are fuelled using Throttle Body Injection - a 39mm Keihin throttle body, to be precise - which works together with the ECU to deliver the perfect mix of fuel and air. The end result? Crisp, clean running motors that create smooth, strong power.
ELECTRIC STARTER
To simplify starting and stopping, we've now put the buttons for each function into the same housing on the right-hand side of the bars. The starter motor itself is powered by a lightweight, Li-lon battery that fires this GASGAS into life as soon as you hit that start button. It's fast and reliable. Just what you want from an electric start, really.
